Ubuntu: I used to have a stand-alone teamviewer, now it is on a web page, why?

I have recently built a PC and using Ubuntu, installed TeamViewer. I find I am using the software in a web page.
Previously, on my laptop (and probably still now) I was using TeamViewer as a stand-alone app.
Where has that gone? Can I change to it as I don't like taking up a web page for what was a small Teamviewer only stand-alone page.
