Moving from Groups to Managed Groups

Hi

We have devices in several groups with custom TV clients and would like to migrate them to Managed Groups.

I have tried to run "TeamViewer.exe assignment --id xxx" without success on the already installed clients.

I have also tried to run "TeamViwer.exe unassign" before the assignment command without prevail.

Will I have to uninstalled the already installed clients, or is there a way to force the clients to move?

    Hello Tiera,

    there is a way to migrate devices to managed groups directly in the Management Console which you should give a try:

    Clicking on the button "import my existing assigned devices" in the managed groups section "All" of the left navigation bar, will offer you a wizard that helps you to migrate your devices.

    Is there any way I can run this as a script on the hosts? We have several hosts in different environments that have dropped out of management for reasons unknown and are no longer visible in the console.

    Is Tensor required? I use the full client on specific systems and all the rest are (or are going to be) running TeamViewer Host. I have created organizational groups but it feels like an oil and water solution. Now there are two of every group and I cannot figure out how to collapse them into one. An added benefit is that I now also have "My Managed Devices" that I can't do much with those devices either..
