Why are some icons black in Computers & Contacts?
Usually the icons are blue, but sometimes they're black. Why? I can remote control even the computers that are black.

Thank you for your post and welcome to our community 😊
- Blue means the device is online.
- Black means the device is offline.
This is the reason why you are not able to control the computers that are black.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I may assist any further. 👍
Have a great start into the new week.
All the best,

Strange. The "black" computers aren't really offline, I can connect to them, view the screen, and remote control them just fine.

Strange indeed 🤔
You are using TeamViewer on Linux right?
What happens if you sign out and in again? Does it stay the same?

Can you please also check the options on the "black" computers?
Go to the advanced options of your TeamViewer version on the remote side and check if Hide online status for this TeamViewer ID is enabled under Advanced settings for Computers and Contacts.
Please let me know if I may assist any further.
Looking forward to your reply 😊

Hi Natascha,
I have the same issues and checked all the above recommendations but still have those dark icons but the PC is online. See if you can think of something else.
Thanks
