Popups on ending remote management session

Hi there, I use TeamViewer to connect remotely to a Surface device that I setup for my grandma as she's now in residential care. She has lost most of the functioning in her hands, so I use the remote management function to put on movies, play music and connect her to family via Skype. I'm really grateful for the free use of TeamViewer.

When a remote management session ends, a popup appears at both ends reminding that the free version is to be used fairly, etc. The difficulty for my grandma is that this sits in the middle of the screen and because she lacks the functioning in her hands, she can't close it. To work around this, I currently have to keep the connection open through-out the day.

Does any one have any suggestions as to who I should contact or how else to resolve this? The solution I've tried to put in place to help my grandma has been tripped up at the very last moment by a popup!

Best, Andrew.

    Hello @roamingandy,

    Thank you for posting here!

I had a talk with our product team and, currently, there is no option to disable this pop-up.

This pop-up is hardcoded in our free version and is part of our free version concept:

    • We offer 100% free usage of our software for private use
    • We keep users aware and display incentives to purchase a license in case they need one

This pop-up is, so to say, the "price to pay" for using TeamViewer for free.

I hope you understand where we are coming from and hope that this won't be disturbing too much your user experience.

    All the best,

    /JeanK

  • Hi there, thanks very much for your quick reply. I would be more than happy to buy a license if it would resolve this issue as it is wholly disruptive of the user experience. I cannot, however, find any option to purchase a suitable license, so please covey my request that a representative contact me at the earliest opportunity to advise. Kind regards, Andrew.
