Cant set Proxy user id and password

I am trying to use TeamViewer via a proxy but my userid and password setting are never saved and I cant find a reference on how to enter them correctly into the global.conf file.

It appears the proxy never connects because I always see an "Only LAN Connections are possible" massage on the bottom of the TeamViewer window and the ID is listed as a series of local IP addresses separated by semicolons not like the ID I am accustomed to seeing.

I'm running TeamViewer 15.30.3

on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS / ARMv8 processor

further clarification:

I added

[strng] Proxy_IP = "10.XXX.XXX.XXX:8080"

[int32] Proxy_Type = 2

[bin ] ProxyPasswordAES = ...

[strng] ProxyUsername = "XXXXXXXXX"

to /etc/teamviewer/global.conf

This resulted in the proxy userid and the password having a value (at Extras -> Options -> General -> Proxy Settings[Configure]) but they seemed to be read only and the password was only one character long>

On the web I found references indicating the ProxyPasswordAES was a "ProxyPasswordAES is a 97 character salt" but Im not sure how to create this binary value correctly for the actual proxy password.

Since Im working on a trial basis to use TeamViewer with Ubuntu 18.04 I want to make sure its usable before I buy.... support line just sends me back to the community forum ..... can anyone help?
