can't see certain window in remote control session

Hi,

Since a few weeks, I have a very strange problem during remote control sessions.

I'm properly connected, can control the host that I'm connected to, however if I open one application, KeePassXC, I don't see the window of it.

However on the actual host machine, the window does show up and the application is running without any errors.

So something in Teamviewer is blocking me from seeing that application window through a remove control session, which obviously is a big problem.

The host machine runs Windows 11 and Teamviewer version 15.31.5 and the machine from which I'm connecting to the host runs OSX 12.3.1 with Teamviewer version 15.30.3

Does someone had the same / similiar issues already and can help me out here?

best regards,

Leon

    Hello @oeservice,

    Congrats on your first post!

As KeePassXC is a password manager, they most certainly implemented a feature that prevents other software to capture the content when remotely connected.

Many software use this protection, especially security software like the one you mention.

There is, unfortunately, no workaround for this.

I hope this could at least answer the question.

Have a great weekend ahead! 🌴

Even though this would make very much sense, this is not the case.

Because it did work in the past. And downgrading KeePassXC didn't solve the issue. However I didn't try downgrading Teamviewer yet, so this might also still be a potential cause.

  • On the desktop KeepassXC shortcut > RIGHT click > Properties > Target: > Add (NOTE add a space THEN add) --allow-screencapture at the end of "C:\Program Files\KeePassXC\KeePassXC.exe" (It should look like "C:\Program Files\KeePassXC\KeePassXC.exe" --allow-screencapture) > Apply > OK

KeepassXC will now automatically open every time from your Remote Connection.
