Why does the TeamViewer program keep un-installing?

I have TeamViewer installed on six computers running the latest updated releases of Window 10. About every three-four weeks, it no longer launches automatically because the root folder is empty, except for about 6 files. This happens randomly and the only solution is to re-install TeamViewer. I contacted TeamViewer Tech support, and applied each fix they offered. No change. I sent them any logs they requested, still no change. They did tell me that they don't know why it is happening. I contacted my Anti-Virus vendor and sent them whatever log files they requested. Still no change. They told me that my Anti-virus is not causing the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this "phenomenon"? I prefer to use TeamViewer over our current tools, *bleep*, but until this is resolved, I cannot recommend TeamViewer to my superiors.

This issue has been resolved for me. After re-installing TV, I went to the Advanced settings and set the "Check for new version" setting to "Never". I did this about five months ago, and the problem has not re-appeared.

    Hello @ddtrekker,

Good to see you posting again!

This is indeed very strange behavior.

Do you have a software management tool running on your infrastructure that might delete TeamViewer?

Can you somehow whitelist TeamViewer.exe in your infrastructure?

None of the computers are connected to any background management tool. They are stand-alone older HP towers running W10. the only "network" they are connected to is the Internet. I didn't check the HP service too I believe is running in the background. I can't think it would be doing anything, but I'll check it anyway. thanks for the new avenue.

Do you have any antivirus software that might delete software that is not whitelisted?

No. I contacted my virus scan software company and they had me generate some log files for them to check out. After they received the files, they said their software was not un-instaling TeamViewer.

Very interesting issue! I lean toward the AV, but first some questions.

    1) Does this happen on all computers or just some of the six?

    2) Does this happen on multiple computers at the same time?

On YouTube I found "Audit File & Folder Access in Windows 11 & 10", see (38) Audit File & Folder Access in Windows 11 & 10 - YouTube

If you apply the YouTube option, I'd be very interested in the results.

    1) It happens on all computers. Four are old HP desktops and two are Lenovo desktops. We had a meeting with the TeamViewer sales team before we started this venture to replace **Third Party Product**. We posed the question whether we would need a license for each individual computer for this proposed use and were assured that we would not. I am still wondering if the free version is stopping working over a period of time. The issue seems to rotate through all six computers. None are immune.

    2) It has happened on multiple computers at the same time
