File Transfer
I am trying to use TV File Transfer to move files from a portable external drive on one PC to another PC with the same type of portable external drive. Both portable drives are formatted ex-FAT.
However, I keep getting an error "No description could be retrieved". This happens for any and every type of file or folder.
Could this be an issue with way the portable drives are formatted?

Please update to the latest TeamViewer version, as we did fix some issues regarding the file transfer.

Thanks Justin. I checked: Team Viewer on one PC says "up to date" on Version 15.32.3 (64 bit), the other required an update. The transfer now works! Simple but brilliant!
I thought these were prompting for updates when available but obviously, the one PC was not doing that. Is there a way to set that up for someone like me using the free version?
BTW this community site is just terrific; your all responses are so fast and helpful!

You sure can! Navigate to your TeamViewer options on the top right (Gear icon ⚙️) → Advanced → Install new versions automatically

Thanks Justin. I did have this set but caught out because the minimum time between update checks in one week. I may have manually checked for an update on one PC, but not the other during one of those weeks when no check was being made on the either.
