Update to newer version while operation on current is still possible

My suggestion is to improve released updates to newer versions, let me explain: I do not use TeamViewer daily and when I open it sometimes it tells me usage is not possible as it needs to be updated. It happened several times so I guess it is how you set it up. My problem is, that I can easily update it, but my Parents are unable to do it by themselves and I am not able to connect to them. My suggestion is that if new version is released and update mandatory, operation of program is still possible in older version and big button appears e.g. "update needed, click here".
Do you believe it'd be possible to adjust as explained?
