How to group machines by names (e.g. by location) and by support type

I work for a company with hundreds of machines that can be supported by TeamView. The machines have been historically grouped by customer's location (about 50 so far). The problem now is that for every new service technician we have to add him/her to each groups manually...
I was thinking of having groups into groups but it seems not possible or to define it through roles (but honestly the admin interface is not really human friendly).
Does anybody have any idea solving this basic question ?!
