Mysterious TV Mac disconnections

Was using teamviewer to great effect and all the sudden my mac stopped being able to connect. Other computers still have TV access but when I try to click 'connect' after selecting an id number the TV program literally just closes. I was hoping to switch to TV for our observatory instead of VNC viewer, but being unable to use it this week has made me rethink that strategy. I tried the obvious re-install of TV but it's some strange path error I haven't seen before. Any ideas appreciated
