Why is new TV icon black?
Why did you change TeamViewer icon color from blue to black? I can understand some general design changes, but why changing to black? Is it dead or what?

A program like TeamViewer should be easy to find among other icons. Bright blue is great for that. This dark blue color is not. Please change it back to bright blue.

I agree. It seems that every design aesthetic has changed to black/white, and that just means that everything looks the same. Thanks TeamViewer for making your icon disappear into the clutter of my taskbar. It really helps us to get work done by spending time searching around for which white icon I need. Is it TeamViewer? Or the Network? Or the Speaker? Or DropBox? (Sorry for being petty and catty, but four houses on our block have been painted all black in the past year and I am apparently now officially a cranky old curmudgeon.)

I have been a loyal customer and user since around version 5.1. (2009-2010). I have been patient with updates and fixes over these many years as I understand your goal is to ultimately better your product and strengthen its core features and security. I have never complained even with the changes in licensing models and pricing structures over the years.
With that being said, I would like to humbly make one small request:
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF PETE STOP CHANGING THE BACKGROUND COLOR OF THE FREAKING TRAY ICON!

I just had quite the issue with this and think the change is not a good one for these reasons below and submitted a ticket about it since it was such an issue for my workflow the past few days. When your clients are concerned they no longer have the right app anymore that's not a good thing.

I would like to know why you have decided to change from the iconic Bright Blue logo to the hard to see Dark Blue one? This has caused a number of issues for accessibility (me) and trust (clients).
1. I have clients calling me asking if they are hacked as their TV icon is now blue to black (naturally I was very confused as its should be bright blue as it has always been this way).
2. As said in #1 clients think its dark blue or black, not everyone even has a display good enough to discern what color it is as it's so dark now as well as on dark themed UI's like windows 10/11's dark taskbar it is almost impossible to see the tray icon minus its connection status bar (green, yellow, red).
3. The change is very inconsistent across the board. The taskbar Icon for me is actually still bright blue (I'm on the latest stable build) but the top of the app is the dark blue in the main UI but as soon as I connect to someone that view window (on the taskbar and its top favicon) has the bright blue one and the main UI now has swapped to a dark blue one.
4. In the light theme of the Main UI it seems clients have the logo in the bottom left of the UI window bright blue but there taskbar icon is the dark blue one. So they are confused on whether it is the same app with an update or even if it's even real anymore (as in compromised or replaced)
I would like you to just pick a color and stick with it system wide, this includes the website which I see some is blue and some is dark blue as well.
I do prefer the Bright Blue to the Dark Blue though.

Please change it back to Bright Blue. So hard to find and users thing it has been replaced with a fake software.

Cause they can't leave **bleep** alone... Lifetime Licenses that aren't. 30% rate increases to counter 8% inflation.
I thought that I had a video issue until I saw all the other people complaining about the dark dark blue / black tray Icon. It is impossible to see on dark desktops.

Same issue with colors here, all the older people who I support are FREAKED OUT by the "dead icon" (black) - they are certain they got hacked or their "lifeline" program no longer works. Can't seem to convince them otherwise, now they want another program that "isn't dead"; here we go down the **Third Part Product** route instead - all because of an icon color!

IT seems to make the icon harder to see on a lot of desktop backgrounds and harder to see in the tray icons also. I liked the lighter blue color more on the icon.

This was my first post on here ever and have been using teamviewer for years for multiple companies as well as personal use. I never thought so many people would jump on board with the idea about the icon. Thank you for the support everyone.

Why did TV change the icon color? As a security tech l notice things like this and wonder if something is going on in the background. Did they announce this color change? If they didn't that's poor form.

I can only agree with that. We, too, have had customers who have expressed concern about the change in logo color. Blue has a signaling effect for us because the proportion of blue receptors in the eye is significantly lower compared to those for red and green. Changing the color of this logo is like 'Apple' suddenly having a pear logo. In a constantly changing world, a reliable constant is needed. Changing this logo shakes up a fundamental certainty. Can customers still trust their service provider and the tools they use?
Please change back the logo color.

I noticed that Teamviewer has updated the color scheme of TV's apps icon. If the users are using dark mode on their OS, the short cut is barely visible on the taskbar. Did any of the QAs notice this before having the app owner sign off on this? They should have recognized this in UAT while testing that you can't tell if the shortcut is visible in the taskbar/menu. Can you make an option to use the classic version color scheme of the TV icon? I've attached a screenshot of the task bar.

Hands down! The obnoxiousness level on the new/grotesque black icon: 700. (that's on a scale of 1-10)
It looks dead, broken, and remarkably, also harder to find.
What a colossal/frustrating waste of time to be forced to seek out this thread and contribute to it.

Now with the latest (appalling) update, it's mostly white with the dark middle, completely opposite to the taskbar icon!
It's a nightmare to find!

First time logging into this website as far as I know - I've had TeamViewer for a very long time and I came here to see if there was a purpose behind changing the color to be so dark.
It's honestly very bad. It isn't just that it's "change" but it's really difficult to see the icon. It would be really nice to change it back, just such a weird color to choose... but it also looks like this website has updated their colors to be this dark color as well, it's just as bad.

something is seriously wrong with their developing team..
the latest update is a joke and the icon now you can bearly see , most of my clients are saying they dont have teamviewerinstalled anymore as they can't find it .
well done , and please TeamViewer , make sure you pay bouns to your Exec team well

Does anyone know how to get the the old icon back? The new one is joke, not! I' m getting fed up at having to explain to to customers that the icon has been changed how to find it.
