Teamviewer is becoming a convoluted mess and changing the interface makes it even more awful. Who has time to start completely learning a totally revised product!

It has become incredibly difficult to use the program with confusing interface. Used to use Teamviewer all the time but now it is like banging your head on a wall with dead ends everywhere. Just had to use [Third-party product] because we could not navigate the simple task of putting in an access code provided by someone needing help.

    Dear TeamViewer users,

We want to thank you for your valuable feedback regarding our recent UI changes.

We understand that many of you found the new interface confusing.

We are excited to announce that we just released (v15.59.4) a new Remote Support section in the updated interface, designed to bring back the simplicity and ease of use that you loved in the old UI.

Within the Receive support section, end users can find their ID and password, which they can share with supporters who connect to them.

Within the Provide support section, supporters can connect to the end user by entering the end user's ID and password.

We have made the TeamViewer ID and password more prominent, making remote support easier and more intuitive.

This update reflects your feedback, and we hope it meets your needs and shows that we value your input.

Please continue to share your thoughts and suggestions with us!

Thank you for your trust and support.

    All the best,

    /JeanK

Step forward is nice. Unfortunately a year and half to late for me. I do hope it continues to get back to a resemblance of what it was though. Next play should be to get rid of the whole bookmarked devices thing. You should be able to add a device again by the ID number. Then move it into whatever group you want and manage it there. Currently, if you add a device by ID it becomes this special bookmarked device in a special bookmarked group with limited functionality. No reason for it to be that way. If an admin adds a device whether by mass deployment or single ID they should be able to manage all devices the same.

Since lase update the UI will automatically switch to the new one after every reboot.

The new UI is missing password changing functionality for bookmarked devices, it is something that I need and use daily, either implement the functionality in the new UI, or stop forcing it on me, as a paying customer, this is getting ridiculous….

  • When the new Teamviewer interface began, the list of our computers had the word/button Connect on the right-hand side of each computer in the list. Now, in the latest update, that list no longer has the word/button. Instead, there are the 3 vertical dots that we can click and then choose to connect. Of course, we can still double-click the computer name to connect to it, but why make connecting less convenient by removing the word/button? It is certainly not a real estate issue as there is plenty of space and a user option to show other information if we choose to do so. Please return the word/button Connect to the list of computers. Thank you.

  • @JeanK can you at least provide a way to still manage add and edit manually added computers? new UI has no way to edit password, why are you removing functionality?

    Upcoming December release updates

    Dear TeamViewer Community,

We are thrilled to announce some significant improvements coming with our December release, and we couldn't have done it without your invaluable feedback. Your insights have been instrumental in shaping these updates, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support and engagement.

    Simplified device group management

    • Easy group creation with default settings: Now, creating a group is as simple as "enter name & save," with default settings set automatically.

    Improved device editing experience

    • Easier device renaming: We've made renaming devices more prominent and accessible directly from the device list.
    • Simplified error handling: If permissions prevent editing, an error message will guide you on the next steps.
    • One-click access: Edit device details with a single click, eliminating unnecessary navigation.

    Enhanced sorting & filtering options

    • Intuitive online/offline filtering: Quickly filter to view online devices, with filters retained across sessions.
    • Alphabetical order: The device list will now display in alphabetical order automatically.

    Search bar improvements

    • Updated Enter behavior: Pressing Enter or clicking on a search result will navigate to it instead of connecting. Use Alt+Enter (Windows) or Option+Enter (macOS) to connect directly to the remote device.

We understand the pain points you've experienced, and we are working tirelessly to address them. These updates are just the beginning, and we are committed to continuously improving your user experience.

Thank you for your feedback and for being a part of our community. Together, we are making TeamViewer better every day.

    Happy connecting,

    /JeanK

  • you guys at teamviewer have really lost your mind with this new interface. for some reason my teamviewer switched over to the new interface, and boy or boy. its such a convoluted mess.

its so difficult to find to just to connect to a computer, the whole thing is just bad bad bad bad. luckily i restarted teamviewer and the new interface button was still available to switch off.

so for the love of god, keep that button active so people can switch back to the normal interface which is more user friendly than this new mess.

  • Why is setting a personal password on a device not possible anymore with the new UI, why this shift in usability? Have Teamviewer users been involved in this decision?

The new teamviewer program has unnecessary groups. It would be better if you could specify online and offline devices in the settings without always changing it back to confusing. That old version would be better for that

Holy heck, updated and now I can switch back to the older interface. The new one is still a UI/UX nightmare. Any time you move away from folks being able to do what they want easily is a downgrade no matter how you try and spin it. Any time TeamViewer try to tell me how to do things or stick something in my face is an UI/UX no no.

It really does feel like the folks that design UIs just don't actually USE the software any more otherwise they'd have the same issues. That or management above them are trying to push something, so rather than software that quickly and easily allows you to do what you need to do you're sent over various and multiple clicks so they can show you stuff. :P

  • Hello I have version 15.60.3 I would like to ask how it is possible to return to the previous graphical interface, before it was possible now I can no longer find the command, the new graphics are not useful for me I would like your help to have the classic graphical version.
    Thanks Antonio
