I'm testing this because I'm excited for having one less window to click through at the beginning of a session, but in my testing the Access Control Details dialog still appears, connecting from the Full Client 64-bit to Host 32-bit, even if both are on version 15.42.5. This happens both with devices that are in traditional shared groups and devices in managed groups.
Is there a setting or policy that must be changed to remove the dialog? The changelog makes it sound like that shouldn't be necessary.

Still the same in version 15.42.7.

I was referring to @CloudCollector 's question above which hasn't been answered. This changelog contains one change, but the corresponding software version does not seem to implement the change at all.

For me the "Access control details" dialog box still shows up in version 15.42.8.

Both computers are on 15.42.8.

This is odd - I could not reproduce it with 15.42.8.
Maybe uninstalling TeamViewer (and removing settings during the uninstallation process) could fix it.

@JeanK , in my case both computers are on 15.42.5 or later, and that is the version where it's claimed the change was made.
We definitely can't remove TeamViewer from thousands of computers in production to reinstall. If there's a setting that could govern this, what would it be? Deploying a registry change would be much more doable than a mass-reinstall.

The fastest way to a resolution would be to analyze the logs of one of the impacted devices.

Reinstalling solved the issue for me, but I only had one computer doing funky business. The UI changed after reinstalling too.
