Remote PC Mic Volume Goes to Max

I remote into a PC many times a day, and as of a couple of weeks ago the microphone level on the remote machine goes to max as soon as I make a TeamView connection to it. If I try to lower it, goes right back to max. The only way I can return the mic volume to where I need it is to disconnect the TeamViewer session, and physically log onto the machine in question. Of course, as soon as I Remote back in, the Mic volume goes to max.

I've tried from 2 different Windows 10 machines, and the remote PC (Windows 11) mic volume maxes out.

I've not seen this behavior in over 2 years of daily remote access to this PC.
