I am using the free version but was using a business account at my last job. I left that job over 2 years ago because it went out of business. Apparently, the service renewed after the company went out of business and it had a past due invoice. It blocked my personal iPhone from using my free account because I had used it with the paid account before.

A few days ago, I got a new iPhone and tried logging into my free account and I got the message that the business account was recently used on this device, which is impossible. How can I remove this restriction? This brand new device is in now way related to the company I worked for 2 years ago.

    Hi @JoeF4369,

Welcome, and thanks for reaching out to our Community!

Please note that when a past-due invoice has its license blocked, all accounts and IDs associated with it will be blocked too until the payment of the overdue invoice.

The new iPhone you acquired has a different ID; however, if your account is still the same, the problem will persist.

I hope this information can help you! 🍀
