Connect home Mac to work mac

Hi,

I would like to know what versions of Teamviewer I need to install on each device to be able to connect my home Mac to my work mac. Here's my requirements / questions:

• I have no need to connect work mac to home mac.
• Will my it network staff at work need to do some firewall configurations on the office router to allow remote access? Other stuff I need to take into account?
• Would I need to set work mac to never sleep for it to work?

Much obliged also for any other practical advice to make this safe and smooth :)
