Audio auto changing on remote MacMini M2

Hello,
We recently installed 2 Mac Minis at a high school connected to a set of our AV equipment. The MacMinis send audio & video out to Black Magic terranex devices.
However, the Teamviewer settings keep resetting to Mac Mini internal speakers. When we disabled Teamviewer on one of the mac minis, the audio has stayed connected to the terranex.
Looking for help/suggestions.
