I find parts of the TeamViewer UI utterly unintuitive. Hopefully, someone can help.
I'm on TeamViewer (macOS, Version 15.48.4, New UI). I've successfully migrated devices that have existed for years and were able to move them into Managed Groups and activate Remote Management and Remote Monitoring.
I just wanted to add an additional device (a new MacBook Pro). I've installed TeamViewer (full generic version) on the new MacBook, logged into my TeamViewer account and added the device.
When I try to move the device into one of the groups, TeamViewer doesn't allow me to do so, stating: "You don’t have any edit permissions for the devices you selected. Please choose different devices."
Also: Under "Devices" the newly added computer appears in the list. However, under "Admin settings -> Devices" it does not.
When I select the device and click the vertical dot menu in the details pane, there is a menu option "Remove myself as manager" which, I guess, means that I AM in fact a manager for the device.
So the question is: Why is TeamViewer preventing me from moving the device to one of my groups?
