Please advise where I can find these. I am looking for the latest version of TV that can still work with this version of macOS.

Please do not reply with 'Upgrade your macOS'.

@tvsmayer97 Ah, thanks for the clarification. Yes, 15.19.4 is the last version running on macOS 10.14.4.

Please refer to https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/49702-use-teamviewer-remotes-latest-version for more information on the message you are getting. That message would also apply when using TeamViewer 15.19.4 with a free account. I cannot give an exact timeframe when these versions will be phased out entirely, but it's a good idea to start planning to update, once a version receives this message.

Updating your Mac to macOS 10.14.6 would mean you could use TeamViewer 15.42. This is a fairly recent version and thus not affected by the prompt to update to a newer TeamViewer version at this time.

  • Thanks for the reply. I had already checked that page. It says vs 14-15.42 are compatible with Mojave. I did eventually track down 15.42 on another site (from the Wayback Machine, I think) but 15.42 requires Mojave 10.14.6. I am looking for compatibility for 10.14.4.

Where can I track down earlier versions of 15.x? And which one is compatible?

@tvsmayer97 The listed versions generally refer to the latest update / security update that's available from Apple for each macOS major release. We do not test with or list compatibility specifically for earlier revisions of a particular macOS release. In the case of macOS 10.14 Mojave, 10.14.6 is indeed required for running TeamViewer 15.42.

If you have a particular reason why you don't want to / cannot update to macOS 10.14.6, you could try the downloads archived for earlier macOS versions here: https://community.teamviewer.com/English/discussion/81565/sunsetting-active-support-of-macos-10-11-and-macos-10-12

  • Thanks but that archive is almost 4 years old for macOS versions 2-3 years older than mine. How does this help?

Is there an archive that is more current? And I do not need versions that were released when 10.14 was released. I need versions that are more current, but still compatible with 10.14.4. Does TeamViewer not preserve the macOS system requirements for its versions?

If not, I guess that leaves me trying to go through WayBack Machine and to through trial and error but surely there must be a more direct way. If at least I know which version to seek, that would speed things up.

@tvsmayer97 Thanks for your feedback. We are aware that upgrading to the next major macOS release is not always possible or desired, e.g. due to lack of hardware support. However, the general assumption is that bugfix and security updates for a given macOS are going to get installed sooner or later. For macOS 10.14 Mojave, that would mean updating to 10.14.6.

Is there anything you can or would like to share about your particular use case, why this Mac needs to remain on macOS 10.14.4? This could help the team better understand your situation, and influence future decision-making.

TeamViewer 15.2 is from early 2020, so almost a year newer than macOS 10.14.4. If you would like to update to the very latest version that's technically capable of running on macOS 10.14.4, that should be the 15.19.4 update (direct link).

Thank you for the link. Just to be clear, is 15.19.4 the last version that will run on 10.14.4, or is there a later version?

My "use case" is actually life circumstances....that prevent the time needed to perform regression testing in a timely fashion, especially on critical software.

BTW, I am currently using v15.16.8. I see a notification in TV that states support for this version is being discontinued soon (this is what prompted this whole investigation in the first place). Is there a specific date when this will happen, so I can try to plan accordingly?

Also, what is the lowest version that will continue to be supported after v15.16.8 is discontinued?

And although I can appreciate not being able to provide a timeline, are you able to indicate what would be the next lowest version that would continue to be supported once support for 15.16.8 is discontinued?

And better yet, what approximate timeframe before 15.19.4 is likely to be discontinued? Just a very rough approximation would be helpful.

Can someone please provide a reply? Are we talking days, weeks, months?

And given that 15.19.4 is also on the chopping block, the questions really apply to that version, including what would be the next lowest verion?
