Team Viewer drops connection

I have a laptop I travel with to log into my computer at home. Team View was working well then suddenly whenever I try remoting in, TV on the laptop tells me it's logging in and then the whole EV screen closes. When I watch the host computer when I try remoting in with the laptop, the small blue screen pops up in the corner of the host computer but disappears when TV drops off the laptop. I can use TV to remote in with my chrome book so I don't think it's the host computer. Did I mess a setting up somewhere?

    Hi @kc8wsm,

Happy to have you back in our Community!

We are sorry to hear that you have been experiencing connection drops from your laptop to your home computer.

As a first step, we would suggest uninstalling completely TeamViewer from both devices and reinstalling the last versions available according to the operation systems of each device, on our website, since they may be causing an inconvenience with some registry keys from past installations.

Since we don´t know which version of TeamViewer you have installed, below you will find instructions for both old and new interfaces:

However we would appreciate more details about your last phrase I can use TV to remote in with my Chromebook, so I don't think it's the host computer. Does this mean that you can connect from the Chromebook to your host computer, which would be your home computer?

Please follow the suggestion given and looking forward to your clarification.

    Have a nice day!
