how do I get team viewer to show that I am using a licensed version?
I paid for a subscription, it is active and Team Viewer still shows that I am using a free version. I have just spent two hours (that I would bill at more than the subscription cost) trying to get this mess straightened out and I cannot even submit a ticket because that seems to be broken. This is a big disappointment.
Maybe someone at Team Viewer actually cares and can fix this for me. I sure hope so.

Can you check if you have activated the TeamViewer license successfully with your TeamViewer account please. We have put together the License Activation Guides - Overview, feel free to find the matching license activation and follow the steps to complete the activation.
Additionally for a self-check on the activation status, kindly sign in to the TeamViewer Management Console and check on the top right corner of your profile, it will display your TeamViewer license accordingly. One last reminder is to always sign in the licensed account before you start the remote connections.

Yes, you see THAT IS THE PROBLEM. You have my money, but it shows a FREE license NOT A PAID SUBSCRIPTION.
I do not have an ACTIVATION email. and cannot figure out how to activate. GOOD LORD, why are people so slow? Can you not read?
I think the best thing at this point is for you to issue a refund of my subscription fee and I will find some alternative platform that does not involve TeamViewer, as you guys seem to be unable to handle something as simple as an activation of a subscription that is already paid for.
