set permament password in existing installation through registry
Hi,
we have installed TV on about 100 machines and wanted to set now a permament password to get access to the computers without having to ask the temporary password.
We found the following keys in the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\TeamViewer]
Don't know exactly what will be the difference between the two as both contain encoded passwords in hex format, but will it be enough to set one of these on all of our machines? And which one? TV ist installed as x64 version.
We tried settings the exported registry values on other machines, but it does not seem to be a reliable solution as on some machines it seems to work and on others not.
We have noticed also that when setting the same password manually through the TV GUI the encoded registry values are not the same, so maybe there is another registry key we have to consider?
