why can my android and PC not connect (through TeamViewer) ?

I have used Teamviewer on my PC quite a lot to connect to other PCs. Now I have installed the app on my Android mobile. I can not get a connection. The phone uses the WIFI from the same modem that provides internet to the PC through ethernet cable. Help sought.

I would like to share, but it's a bit hard to CLEARLY write down the steps - although I succeeded, I am not 100% sure of how I achieved it. So I decline the request.
