TV 12 Falsely Reporting Remote Old Version

TeamViewer 12 perpetual license has stopped working with the error "The Remote Teamviewer is running an old version which is out of date. "

Verified the remote and host have the same version (12.0.258192). Reinstalled to be absolutely certain and the problem still persists.

Is this an error or are the subscription sales people getting aggressive again?
