Mouse is super sensitive

Howdy

I am using a Mac to connect to a remote Mac. I am using a Magic Mouse and the movement on the remote PC is super sensitive. I barely swipe with my finger and there is a ton of movement on the remote machine that keeps going even after I stop.

Also unrelated to above but still frustrating, I find that often when I use the shift key or the option key the command sticks.

Any help would be appreciated.
