What free version do I need to download?

Last night I tried to remote into someone else's computer with the login credentials he gave me. I was able to get in, but within 10 seconds it kicked me out. When I tried to get back in, it said I have to wait one more minute before getting in. I tried after one minute, but it said the same thing again. The same thing just happened to me about 30 minutes ago. It's definitely not on his end, because someone else this morning was able to remote into his computer without any issues. I'm guessing I had an older version on my machine. Which newer version should I download? I looks like there a few t choose from.
