Help - PC app won't allow a 10 digit ID, the connect button grays out

PC app to Mobile app = doesn't connect because my mobile ID is 10 digit
Mobile app to PC app = works fine, my PC ID is 9 digit
PC browser to Mobile App = works, but input lag is too much
Now, how can I make it work with PC app so I can avoid the input lag?
Note: i downloaded the latest apps on both devices.
Any tips?
