Cannot activate licence

I received an activation code but when I activate it it says

Sorry, the license couldn’t be activated. Account has existing company configuration, which is incompatible with this license. Please use an account without a company setup

what it means ?

    By the description provided, this error message is probably being caused by the creation of a Company Profile. (The company profile feature can only be used by multiuser licenses, but it's available for free trial.)

    You can delete the Company Profile to activate your single-user license by following the steps here. If the Company Profile is expired, please follow these steps.

    thank you it worked fine I was able to activate the licence.

    What isn' t clear to me is that with my licence I can connect and have access only to 1 pc ?
