How to get rid of white box around remote cursor?

I use TeamViewer to remote into my PC and access my game (Eve Online) so as not to miss the daily login bonuses, but when the game actually loads, the in-game cursor has a big white box around it. This box hides everything behind it making button clicks very difficult. Is there a way to remove the white box from the cursor, like a transparency setting to change?
