Hi,
My 80-year-old uncle had a laptop issue, and a local repair shop is reinstalling Windows for him TODAY. He will also ask them to install TeamViewer so I can assist him later.
Issue: I'm concerned he won't have access to email until I set it up remotely. Therefore, I need to ensure the local repair shop installs TeamViewer that works without email. In the past, I installed the Full Client for him, but I'm worried he might struggle to log in and start it.
However, I just noticed that TeamViewer also has a basic "Quick Support" version..
My Questions:
- Can he start TeamViewer Quick Support without an email invitation? Can the local repair shop install it so he just needs to start it and provide me with the ID and password?
- Can "Quick Support" be added to the Windows taskbar?
- Can the local repair shop also install the Full Client as a backup? Will having both versions cause any conflicts?
- If only the Full Client is installed, can he start the app, and can I connect to it without him needing to register and log into a TeamViewer account? Can the Full Client be used without an account, similar to Quick Support?
I'm asking these questions because I have no control over what the local repair shop will install for him, and since he's 80, he might request the wrong thing.
Thank you.
