I have been using TeamViewer during the months of July and August in order to connect to my home
computer when I am out of town for the summer. In the past, I would leave on my home computer with teamviewer open. Multiple times thruout the summer I would sign in with my home computer teamviewer ID and password. This past month, however, any time I would disconnect my laptop or put it in sleep mode, it would generate a new password for my home computer, which I could no longer access. Is there any way to keep the password on my home computer running steady, even when I disconnect from my laptop?

What you are looking to set is called a "Personal Password". You will need to follow the instructions outlined in the Knowledge Base article pasted below to set this "Personal Password" on you remote device.
Remote control via personal password (teamviewer.com)
