    Device Migration is referring to moving your devices from the classic Groups/classic User Interface to the new Device Groups/New User Interface.

    When a device is assigned to a user account, but is being viewed in the New User Interface, you will see that message you are referring to.

    This is really poor design in my opinion.

    Migration Required could have easily been written as UI Migration Required or similar.

    An extra word or two for better clarity is always a good thing.

  • I feel the same way.
    I took over many TV installations from the previous admin, which were obviously done with the old group design.
    However, these groups are difficult to manage.
    I have now created new groups in the form of device groups.
    However, I can't add the old devices there.
    This is frustrating.
    I have tried the migration on 1-2 “to-migrate” devices, but I can't get any further. They are not even displayed for me to transfer them to the new device groups.
    I'm supposed to migrate them, but I can't do it and the migration process doesn't tell me how to do it.

    Do I have to take ownership of the “to be migrated” devices first? If so, how do I do this?
