Can I view/control a trusted/familiar Android phone with no interaction required by the user at all?

I'm wondering if it's possible, after whatever preparations might be necessary (TeamViewer locked on in the background from phone startup to startup, prior sharing of device codes, etc), to control the trusted/familiar Android phone from my desktop pc that requires no further interaction by the phone's user at all. I have a very old father to whom I would like to mail a TeamViewer pre-prepared phone to show him the wonders of smartphones, and he lives hundreds of miles away and has arthritis and feeble fingers and needs careful remote training with an absolute minimum required by him. Thanks.

After much trial and error, it is clear that yes, with the Host app locked in the background, a remote control session can (sometimes) be successfully initiated with no user interaction on the phone at all. I would delete my discussion completely, but there appears to be no facility for that. Since ALL the other makers of remote control software (from **Third Party Product** to **Third Party Product** to several others) have failed (in one way or another) to live up to my needs and expectations, I'm going with TeamViewer.
