adding new android device via host from play store. Cannot move from My Managed Devices

As titled, when I add a new android device to our system, via the same method I have used for dozens already, all new ones with ver15 of the APK they appear in the "My Managed Devices" section and I cannot move them to any of my groups, this will clearly result in disorganisation.
So far, the only fix I have found is to use an older version 14 of the host APK I downloaded from some place like APK Mirror, then after connection to our teamviewer fleet, allow the play store to upgrade to ver 15
Not that I feel really safe about that, but its better than the alternative being forced on me.
Is there some other way that I can use to restore the ability to organise the devices?
