How to generate a session using free version
Hello,
I haven't used TV in a few years. I wanted to use it today to connect a few of the computers in my apartment to do remote operations so I do not have to run between rooms. I am not a business so I will not need a paid version, it would be a total waste of money for me. I downloaded the free version but all I have on the program screen is "Receive support" a box to enter a "Session code", a button to connect and my ID & PW for each machine and there are no options to sign into an account nor generate a session code.
I tried looking for directions in the support area but it points to using the "Remote" version of the program which you have to pay for. I do not have and will not need a paid version as stated. How do I generate a session code using the free version? Is that no longer possible?
Here's a pic of what I see on the program window:
Thank you for all replies.
Sincerely,
WonderWoman

Hi @WonderWoman,
Welcome to the World of TeamViewer! 🙌
May I ask you to check if you are running the module - TeamViewer QuickSupport on your device? The module is used for receiving remote support from others. If you would like to start the remote control connection, please download the version of TeamViewer from the TeamViewer download page.
Please try it out and let us see if the magic power happens on your side this time.

Hello Again,
I just downloaded the full client and it looks like what I used to use. I have a subsequent question. I also downloaded the one that said to "receive support". If I want to set things up so that I have 2 way functionality and do not have to sign out on one computer and sign back in on the other to start the reverse functionality do I need to install both or possibly even all three versions of the program and do I need to run simultaneous sessions depending on which way I want the functionality to be done?

Hello again @WonderWoman,
Welcome back to the Community!
We recommend installing the TeamViewer Full on both sides of the remote connection. Then, you may start and receive the remote connection versus vice from each side.
If you have any device for receiving incoming connections only, TeamViewer QuickSupport or TeamViewer Host are the better options and are designed for receiving support.
I hope my explanation helps you understand the difference between the TeamViewer modules.
Best,
