TeamViewer will not connect.

I am using the free version of TeamViewer. I am trying to provide remote support for my technologically challenged mother who lives 2,000 miles away. When I send her an invite for a remote session, we cannot get the computers to connect. She can open the invite on her end but the computers never connect. Any suggestions?

    Hi @Duffer ,
Welcome to our Community and thanks for your first post!

Connection issues can be caused by different reasons.
Do you receive any specific error messages? If yes, could you share it with us?
Does the issue occur only when connecting with your mother or with any device?

I'm looking forward to your reply so that we can understand your scenario better and help you.

Carol, no error messages. She is the only one I team with. She selects join session on my invite email but then selects the "For Windows" on the next page, nothing happens. She also tried selecting Launch Application but nothing seems to happen. She is using Google Chrome as a browser.

    Hi @Duffer,
    Thanks for the details provided!

Connections via session code have some back and forth between the supporter and the remote side to accept and enter the session. You can double-check the step-by-step here: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-remote/remote-control/provide-attended-remote-support/?coupon=CMP-PR-BF24

Have you tried connecting via ID and Password?
If not, ask your mother for the ID and Password that displays on her side, and try to remote connect with her.

Let us know if the issue persists or if you get any error messages.
