    Hi @Frankfoe,

Thank you for getting back to us.

May we ask you to explain this in a bit more detail?

Do you use the TeamViewer Full version or the Host module? Where do you try to enter the ID?

Please feel free to share relevant screenshots.

    Thank you in advance!

    Best,

I go to the website Teamviewer.com

When I install the program I only have 9 numbers instead of 10, even if I install it again

    Hello @Frankfoe,

Thank you for the additional information.

In general, it's totally fine to have a 9-digit ID - I do also have one with 9 digits 😊

The last screenshot shows that your TeamViewer is set up for LAN-modus. If your TeamViewer is set up like this, you can not enter a TeamViewer Session-code in this field to receive a connection, only the IP.

To get back to the default setting, please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the settings by clicking the gear wheel.

    2. Go to the General tab.

    3. Ensure that Incoming LAN connections are deactivated.

Afterward, you should be able to receive incoming connections by entering a TeamViewer session code, as explained in the following article: If the supporter sent you a session code.

To start an outgoing connection, you first need to log in with your TeamViewer account. You can then start a connection by following the instructions here: Provide attended remote support

Let us know how it goes!

    Best,

What matters to me is that I can help someone remotely

That always worked fine until that person got 10 digits and I can only enter 9

See attachment to the last page, I can enter 10 digits there because I only have 9

Of course, thank you in advance for your help

We tested connecting to a 10-digit ID and a 9-digit ID from the Home tab (Startpagina) as well as from the Remote Support tab (Ondersteuning op afstand) and both worked fine on our side.

To ensure that we are on the same page, could you send one more screenshot of the field where you try to enter the ID?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nadin

I can't test it now, the person is not there, but see the attachment, where I want to use the 10 digits

Ok - keep us updated! 🍀

If it doesn't work with the installed TeamViewer Client, I would ask you to test it with the TeamViewer Web App.

I look forward to your reply!
