Remote Computer Screen Size

Hello, I am connecting from a 15-inch MacBook Air to a Windows machine. However, the desktop that appears has Windows windows so large that I can't work remotely. I've tried setting different resolutions, even the current maximum resolution of 1920x1080, hoping it would shrink the interface, but without any useful result. Is there a way to adjust the remote desktop so that everything appears smaller? Thanks.
