Latest version but old version

Hello,
i'm using the "NEWEST!!" version of the teamviewer (15.60.3).
if I want to connect with another computer, tells me the TeamViewer, I use an old version.
If I go to "Check for new version" in TeamViewer, I get: You are using the latest version.
Question: what now? And: what's the point of the nonsense
