Unable to authenticate after a harddrive wipe

i recently had an issue with my pc and had to replace the boot drive. after reinstall i am unable to authenticate from my mobile to my pc, it just hangs on "Awaiting Authentication". i didnt have any problems last week when i used this prior to the hdd replacement. any thoughts?
