Stuck at "Starting remote session" on some linux machines

I recently installed Teamviewer on some of our Linux machines and tried to connect. The connection works and can be seen on both systems I am trying to connect to, but the screen is stuck at "starting a remote session".

I have tried using both Mac and Windows to connect to this system, but they all have the same issue.

Surprisingly, the connection works fine for some systems I haven't changed/updated recently. Wondering, if anyone else has this issue on Ubuntu computers.

    is the app updated? check display settings (X11/Wayland), and restart the system. Look at logs too

    I switched to Xorg, and that helped. Thanks.
