Question about Teamviewer ID
I use Teamviewer to access my old Windows 10 PC from my new Windows 11 PC. My old PC does not have a monitor, keyboard, or mouse connected. This has been working great, since I only use my old PC to test something or for a program that does not run correctly on Windows 11.
The other day I installed a Microsoft update on my Windows 10 PC. Something went wrong and the PC would not boot. Fortunately I had a backup from April 2024 and when I restored it Teamviewer worked correctly using a previous ID that was still in my Device Group.
The backup was evidently taken prior to me performing a complete Microsoft install of Windows 10. I would like to perform another reload of the old PC to remove old programs and files.
My question is:
Is it possible to preserve the Teamviewer ID, install Teamviewer, and then apply the preserved ID?
