Automatic updates TeamViewer

Hello,

We've set a policy to enforce automatic updates to the latest version on our clients' laptops. However, I'd like to confirm whether TeamViewer needs to be launched or at least kept in the systray for the update to be executed.

Furthermore, if the TeamViewer is not started will it be updated ?
