installing teamviewer on macbook

After downloading teamviewer a .dmg file is present in my download folder of my new macbook. When I open it I get the message that the file is damaged.

When I download the same file on my other laptop, a macbook pro, it opens and installs flawlessly. Apple support cannot help me. Also making a new user on my macbook and download it from there did not solve the problem. I also downloaded the file on my other laptop and then mailed it to my new macbook, this also gave the same error: file is damaged.

Please help.

Same thing happed on my MacBook Pro. Have re-installed TeamViewer at least 15 times over two weeks and each time it tells me the file is damage.

Tried installing in Safe Mode, still didn't work.

However, when I completely wiped the drive and re-installed operating system, it worked, prior to installing apps. The only way I can use TeamViewer now is through the web app.

What's strange is that it worked before, same apps, same computer. Didn't use it for a while and when it updated, something broke.
