I recently tried Quick Support on my Mother's Galaxy S8 and when I went into Text messages the mouse on my desktop would click keys on the virtual keyboard not the soft keys at the bottom of the screen.
I think there is an issue with mapping or recognizing the difference. I tried different resolution modes and the same behaviour across all. was unable to press the home button as it just clicked the spacebar.
I was able to click the notification area and drag open. So think has to do with the how the virtual keyboard opens
