No connection to TeamViewer server

Options

Hi,

I'm trying to use TeamViewer to help my elderly parents with their home PC.  They live over 100 miles from me.  When I last visited, I tried to install TV on their Windows 10 Pro PC but I got a message about not being able to connect to the server and to check my proxy settings.

The proxy option was not selected in the settings and their machine connects direct to the internet.

I checked in the Wiindows 10 firewall settings and permissions seemed to be enabled for Team Viewer in there...although if there is anything I should check or change there I would be very grateful.

My brother-in-law is going around there this afternoon and we are going to try to get remote access working.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Update - we checked the WiFi router settings and even turned off the Windows Firewall altogether but still no luck...

Thanks,

Andy

As an update, in the end we disabled the Windows Firewall altogether, and confirmed there was nothing on the wireless router blocking traffic....still no joy!
