Kaspersky Lab has published a blog post about certain phishing activities that abuse legitimate software like TeamViewer in sophisticated social engineering attacks on Russian companies: https://securelist.com/attacks-on-industrial-enterprises-using-rms-and-teamviewer.

We would like to stress that our software is secure for all users and that the SecureList blog post does not refer to a TeamViewer vulnerability but the fundamental danger of social engineering. The best protection against these kinds of attacks is cyber literacy as a critical foundation of a securely connected world.
