Subgroup method - WHY?

I get that you can sort/group by custom attributes, and that's ok....but why can't I just "Add new group, then add a group within that group"?

I don't want to have to sort all this stuff. I just want to be able to manage these folders. You created a quantum computer to solve 2+2. Can you PLEASE, just give us the ability to manage the folders like normal? 

Create folder/group - move folder/group to sub group - move folder/group out of sub group...it's not a crazy request. Am I the only one who thinks the current method(while still useful) is horribly over complicated?

    We are facing the same problem. The administration interface is moreover confusing. Does anybody have a solution or a work around ?!?
