Cannot edit files on remote computer

I set up a workstation as a remotely accessed system.

I can log in to the remote system and transfer files back and forth between them. I can create folders. I can transfer documents into the folders. I CANNOT save any edited files. When I go to save it I get.I get a message "File not found".Check file name and try again. On the remote computer everyone has full control of the folders and the same in team viewer management console. I can nit find anything in the Remote Control document pdf.
